Begin your journey

Thank you for your interest in Lichfield Cathedral School. Families are strongly encouraged to visit our school to meet our teachers and pupils, ask questions and discover why we have happy and successful pupils. Our friendly and experienced Admissions team will be happy to answer any questions and to guide you through each stage of the admissions process.

To find out more, or to arrange your visit, please contact:

Amy Young, Head of Admissions - 01543 306168 or a.young@lichfieldcathedralschool.com

Elaine Lowe, Admissions Assistant - 01543 306014 or e.lowe@lichfieldcathedralschool.com

Your journey starts with a visit to the School, for either an open event or an individual visit, which will include a tour and the chance to speak with senior academic staff. It’s important that you see the school in action on a normal day. Tours last approximately 45 minutes, led by pupil tour guides and you will meet with the Headteacher or Deputy Head.

The next step is to complete the online application form. It is recommended that children are registered 12 months prior to their start date.

Taster days are a great way for your child to get to know the school and start to make friends. We will request a reference from your child’s current school or nursery and a copy of their most recent school report. Children aged 9 or above will complete academic assessments so we can understand their current ability level.

Your child’s place is confirmed upon acceptance of an offer of a place and payment of a deposit. The deposit will only be refunded if your child is withdrawn before enrolment on medical grounds or at the end of his/her studies. Full terms and conditions are provided with the offer letter.
