National Apprenticeship Show

Students from Years 11 and 12 travelled to the Coventry Building Society Arena last week to speak with a wide range of companies and organisations all offering apprenticeship opportunities. Stallholders ranged from Aldi, Tesco and Royal Mail to the Army, Rolls Royce and the NHS. The Show also incorporated UniversityFest, so that students could meet University teams to learn about Higher Education pathways.

One of our very own Year 11 students Esme wowed everyone with her outstanding singing voice, performing with the Army band!

Speaking with students, the feedback was very positive:

"It was an amazing opportunity to speak with real companies and find out more about what each offered."
"There were so many businesses there that I didn't realise offered apprenticeships, or who had such a range of areas to study within the company."
"I really enjoyed seeing how much I could earn by studying for an apprenticeship and the qualifications I could leave with at the end of it."
"I loved the robot dog and realising I could be learning such advanced technological skills to develop and apply in the real world."
"I'm definitely going to apply to an apprenticeship with PQMS - they provide you not just with great networking contacts and a qualification, but also £7,000 worth of practical training that a lot of other providers do not include."
