National Cross-Country Championships

Last weekend, two of our pupils compete at the English National Cross-Country Championships, representing their club Tamworth AC. Both Freya and Josh travelled to north-west London and competed at Parliament Hill in the National Cross-Country Championships.

As you can see from the photos, the course was extremely muddy and difficult to navigate, especially for the athletes in the later races. The course itself was a tough one as, along with the mud, there were many tough inclines to navigate. It really was a course worthy of a national championships. Both Josh and Freya did exceptionally well competing at such a big event, with of 300 athletes in Josh's race and more than 270 athletes in Freya's race. Well done both of you, a brilliant achievement to compete in a national event.
