U9 Girls' Hockey

Hi, my name is Darcy and I am the Sports Captain at Longdon. Here is my match report for the U9 Girls' Hockey Fixture that took place last week:
 
On Friday the 15th of November, some of the Year 3 and 4 girls played a hockey match against Newcastle-Under-Lyme School. The girls left at 1.30pm and, when they got there, went straight to the hockey pitch. The girls started playing and it was fun, but exhausting!

The first girl to score a goal was Poppy T.  However, the match became really tense because Newcastle scored 3 times in a row and were leading 3-1 at half time!  Then, another goal was scored a few minutes later by Poppy E.  This meant the score was 2-3.  Thankfully, Poppy R saved the day as, near the end of the match, she scored a goal, meaning the final result was a draw. Everybody did really well!
